From Feed to Field: How We Manage Our Herds Year-Round
At B-Tex, hunting season might get the glory—but herd management is a 365-day a year mission.
It starts with nutrition. Our deer don’t just survive—they thrive. We plant food plots, supplement with protein, maintain fresh water sources, and monitor body conditions throughout the year. Genetics matter, but nutrition makes or breaks an animal’s potential.
Then there’s habitat: we manage cover, promote native forage, and rotate grazing to keep the land healthy. Predators? We handle them ethically, ensuring balance without overreach.
Game cameras run daily. We log data. We study movements, age bucks on the hoof, and track health trends across the property.
All of this means when the season opens, you’re not chasing luck—you’re hunting a product of hard-earned land stewardship.
